Reducing Waste

Science/Social Science learning goals
We are learning to understand about the environments around us and the negative of
positive impact our actions can have on these environments.

Success criteria;
  • identify some positive actions we can take at school and in our own lives
  • to help our environment.

Literacy


Task: Create an infographic showing people how they can
reduce their waste in their lunchbox.   


Our co-constructed success criteria:
-Have a strong title/hook
-Use convincing language and images
-Have simple things people can do
-Use images (free to use)
-Use bullet points/ short sharp information

-Use correct punctuation and spelling.

This term our class were working on how to reduce
waste and how its causing harm. Drawing made By Cailan, Charlie and Ethan.

    Your poster looks very good and it has a lot of good pictures. Maybe next time you could make a bit less information because it was meant to be short and sharp. The text colour and background are a good match.

    Well done for working together to make your infographic about how to reduce plastic waste in our lunchboxes. I liked that your pictures matched the information. I also thought it was good how you had subtitles that let the reader know what information will be on that part of the poster.

    One thing I want you to think about is making sure all your work is in your own words and none of it has been copied and pasted. The 8 Simple Ways to Reduce Your waste was clearly just copied word for word from a website as I was able to find this. Make sure you don't do this again.

    I thought you had really good ideas under the lunchbox heading and beeswax wrap heading. You had good use of bullet points.
